“Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, his love endures forever.”—Ps. 118:29
God is always showing us mercy, kindness, grace, and love. As we welcome this month with open arms and say ‘Hello November!’, let us also welcome all of who God is. He is so good to our generations, who do not deserve anything pure. Yet, we receive in abundance all that we need. For this, we should be more than grateful. We should be thanking the Lord with praise and gladness.
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” Ps. 100:4-5
There’s no time to feel dull and gloomy, pessimistic all day long. Shift your mood by turning your frown into a smile today. Share it all over town. Remember that we are God’s children and as His children, we need to share His love and His light towards other people.
“O Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.” Ps. 95:1-3
We need God so much in our lives, just like a son or daughter needs their dad every day to be there for them. We require time from God. We need of His attention. Every day, we wake up wanting to feel more of His love, of His hugs and His kisses, as well as His advice. So let’s give Him our attention and our time as well, because we want the same in return from Him. If you seek God, you will find Him. He is with you.
“I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.” Ps. 7:17
Just as we need parental guidance and love, we need the same Fatherly love from our God in Heaven. We need His soothing voice at night when we feel restless. We want God to be there for us no matter what we do wrong. And He is with us, helping us, guiding us, assuring us, and forgiving us when we fail Him. He still loves us.
“I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” Ps. 9:1
We need our Father in every area of our lives, because it is not in our own nature to be good. We must look for God, in order to become strong enough to do what is good and righteous and leave our past behind. Through supernatural power, God can help us overcome our sins. This is His beautiful outpouring of love for us.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Ps. 103:1-5
The Lord knows that perfection is far from us, so He will continue to grant us forgiveness that makes us truly free in Jesus’ name. What more could we possibly desire? He is good to us all the time, seeing to it that we have the strength to overcome sin, and forgiveness when we keep trying to do what is better, but still fall short of His glory because we are sinners.
“Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” Col. 2:7
Let us be enlightened by His full pardon and believe in His Son Jesus. He lights the way through the dark tunnel and brings us home. How thankful and grateful our hearts should be!
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” Ps. 107:1
There is nothing better in life than to welcome Christ into Your heart. He is but pure love, that will penetrate your bones, leaving you with great energy, renewed health, and restored vibrancy. You won’t need anything but Jesus. No amount of coffee, tea, or energy drinks, will ever come close to the feeling of being fully alive in Jesus.
“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.” Col. 3:15
If you need a change of heart, Jesus will give you a new one. All you have to do is believe in Him, pray, and have faith that He will come through for you. Invite Him in through your front door, to sit down at the table with you, just as you would invite any other guest to your home. When you sit down to have you next meal and the meal after that, think of how good God has been to you and to your family.
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thess. 5:18
He will be there with you, in the middle of your gathering, when you say grace at the table. He places at your table good food for your entire family to eat, oh, how much he loves you! So then let us all feel blessed by God, because of the abundance that He provides. If you don’t already pray over your food, then start afresh today and don’t be scared of praying anywhere you go, because He will be there with you wherever you are.
“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.” Rev. 11:17
But the Lord would like to be invited into your heart so that He can fill it with gladness. Through a small prayer, open up the door of your heart, to receive Him and He will sew a new happy, thankful heart in place of the old that is heavy and prideful, sorrowful, guilty, fearful, evil, lustful, and still holding on to bitterness. Jesus grants you peace when you accept Him.
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Col. 4:2
And if you do invite Him into your household, it will be the greatest day ever! This is true because He is our Healer. Jesus will take that hurt and empty heart of yours, full of holes and scars, and by the power in His Name, your heart will begin beating so healthy and feel so revived.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him.” Ps. 28:7
It will beat without pain, without guilt, without the insecurities weighing you down. Your heart will forever feel thankful and grateful towards the Lord, but it starts with your decision. I hope you have the courage to open up to God, so that He can make a miracle happen in your life. God is wonderful!
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” James 1:17
Let us all be thanking our God, Yahweh, for all that we have from our homes and cars, to our food and drink. From our jobs and our communities, to the most important of all, our family and friends. The people that we care for the most are the ones we need to help. Talk with them, instead of to them. Be there for them and pray with them. Be someone they can turn to for help or for a shoulder to cry on. We need people we can count on, so be someone that someone else can count on, as well.
“Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,” Eph. 5:20
Thank Him today for everything because it all comes from above. He eases our confusion, and let’s us get rest. He takes care of us in every situation so don’t worry because God is a Big God that you can rely on. He will make your troubles seem so small, that you won’t be able to see them anymore. That is who our God is.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Phil 4:6
In every celebration you have, place God in the center. For example, whether you will get married, or have a birthday party, or celebrate a graduation, thanksgiving dinner, or even attend a baby shower, center your mind on God first. Then, you will always have blessings from Heaven come supernaturally into your life, because you place Him above everything you hold dear.
“I will praise the name of God with song, and shall magnify Him with thanksgiving.” Ps. 69:30
Let God fill your home with happiness. Let Him fill your soul and your heart and all your spirit with the most beautiful light you’ll ever see. Let Him be your song that lasts the whole day in your head on repeat. Have a state of contentment and a good expression of love towards other people. Desire to know Jesus even more.
“Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!” Rev. 7:12
Gratefulness is deep and it happens when you start building a solid relationship with Jesus that will ultimately bring you in connection to God. This is where gratefulness comes from. When you are in relationship with Jesus, you will always feel grateful, because He forgives you and loves you unconditionally.
“Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!” 2 Cor. 9:15
The Holy Spirit will lead you to Jesus and to God. You are blessed and very fortunate right now to have life. Every second you live is a miracle from upstairs from the Holy ground of Heaven. Always be glad and ready for God to work in You all things for good.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods, for his steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his steadfast love endures forever; to him who alone does great wonders, for his steadfast love endures forever; to him who by understanding made the heavens, for his steadfast love endures forever; …” Ps. 136:1-5
From the very bottom of our hearts, we want to take the time to thank you for everything You do and everything You are still doing in our lives. Thank You for November, we welcome this month in. Refresh our souls and lavish us in undeserving holy love, for there is none like You. God, You are so good to us. Your work in us never stops. You continue to work your power in our lives. It’s this amazing power that pours out Your good blessings and restores our minds and changes our hearts.
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” Heb. 12:28-29
Thank you Lord God, for grace, hope, joy, mercy, and abundance of love. Strengthen our relationships with our family members and our friends, so that we may unite with them in Your name, to read our Bibles together. You are to be highly honored because only You give us a sense of direction and purpose for our lives–a map that we can follow to become more like Jesus. Thank you for the cross. Thank You God for Jesus. We have freedom and eternal life because of Your Son’s sacrifice. I thank You God that I am forgiven for all my horrible sins against You. I will continue to love You forever for all You are. You have set me free from evil. Forgive us when we aren’t grateful, when we lose sight of You, and when we fall. Help us to keep our vision focused on You and let us feel whole and complete in You. We praise You with song and with instruments because we are thankful. Our music flows through our heart and up to Heaven. Hallelujah! Worthy is the Lamb! In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
