Our Eternal State of Being

“Love is an eternal state of being, not a temporary fix.”

–Sherolynn Braegger

How many babies have you seen or passed by in the grocery stores, at parks, or at restaurants? I counting on quite a few. Babies are being born into this world every day, it’s impossible if we don’t come across one in our lifetime. When you see a newborn baby with a little, cute button nose, wrapped up in blankets, resting comfortably in the arms of its mother, you tend to go-‘Aww! So cute!’ Right?

1 John 4:19 (ESV)

“We love because he first loved us.”

Why, yes, they are really adorable! They are born not knowing that they even exist. Do you remember being born, crying your lungs out, opening your eyes to the world for the very first time? No. I bet you don’t. I don’t either. We don’t have a recollection of the day we were born, but our parents sure do. Our mothers endured the formation and the developmental embryonic stage. They fed us well, loved us in the process of then becoming fetuses that matured into fully developed babies, ready to be born. They were ready to welcome you into their family and into our Earthly civilization.

But did you know that once you were implanted, fertilized, and became a little embryo in your mother’s womb, you were already on your way to forming a heart beat at around 5-6 weeks of pregnancy, along with a immortal soul. Every baby has a soul. A soul that is God-given. When a person passes away, their souls do not reincarnate into someone or something else. That is misleading information. No, you are an immortal being that God created. You are a child of God with your own unique soul.

If for any reason, parents decided on an abortion, which goes against God’s wishes, the baby’s soul would live on in Heaven. It is so even in miscarriages. No matter what happens to us on planet Earth, we will return to our Heavenly Father God, who holds the fate of our immortal souls. This means that if we die physically here, our souls will stay alive. As babies, we already have a soul, we grow and become adults, age with time, and then become old. Our soul is who we are inside, no matter how much you appear that you age outside. God created us like this. We live here for a short while, then when we shed our physical skin, our soul finally becomes free from the body that goes back to dust. Freedom that will, thus, create us into spiritual beings at last.

1 Corinthians 15:22(ESV)

“For as in Adam all die,

so also in Christ all will be made alive.”

We are immortal creatures, being born with faces and hair, eyes and mouths, arms and legs, hands and feet, a heart and a brain. We are made in the likeness of God, who is our ultimate creator. Our parents are the ones that bring us about, but they do not have a hand in our formation, only God does. Our parents didn’t know how we were going to look like until we are born. They had no idea how your voice was going to sound like. No clue as to whether you would be born complete with all fingers and toes. But, they hoped everything would be okay. That power belongs to God. Parents can only hope and wait for the big reveal. The birth day!

But, let’s pause on that thought and go back a bit, have you ever thought about the part where we are spiritual beings? That we could be in essence immortal. Not as humans here on Earth, of course. There are many variables here and life here isn’t certain. We don’t really know what tomorrow brings for us. We just trust that we have more time to live out our lives. However, we know that our life here comes to a tragic end, and death is something we cannot escape from. We will all experience death individually. The day will come for all of us who live here on Earth. It could be a scary thought, but don’t let this unknown date of death get to you. You must live, be happy to be alive! Don’t stay stuck in anxiety and fear of things you really can’t control. That is for God to know, and He will reveal it all in time. So try to stay calm in this place, until we meet our Lord in spirit.

John 3:16 (ESV )

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Even if you’ve been fed the lies and have never thought of this, the fact is that we really never die! Even when we do die, our souls still remain alive. God thought of making us in His image, as immortals, because He loves us. Death only occurred because Eve and Adam first sinned against God. This was their ultimate punishment for disobeying the Lord’s command of not eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

God only wanted them to eat from the Tree of Life for a reason. He wanted Adam and Eve to obey Him so that they wouldn’t have this happen to them. The Tree of Life only brought them life and not death, but since they disobeyed God and ate what the Snake led them to think was okay to have, they were revealed the truth of good and evil.

This is still how we live in this present day of age. People like to listen to the Snake and eat off the evil that it provides them. They disobey God, even now, and have not learned that good will always triumph evil. There is good, there is bad, and there are blessings to receive or consequences to pay. When you do good, you receive blessings; when you do bad, you receive punishment. We have a choice in which tree to eat from. Which are you choosing to eat from? Good is always the better choice.

Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)

“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”

From nothing, people create chaos in relationships, fights and arguments that lead up to physical abuse, instead of striving to be peaceful, gentle souls, forgiving one another. All of us over the age of 18, are old enough now, to understand good vs. evil does exist. Therefore, A Good God exists, and an Evil Devil as well. So many people think this is mythology because we can see neither. ‘To see is to believe’ for them, but in the Bible, God asks us to believe, without seeing. This faith is what separates the fate of our souls. People that go to Heaven, and people that go to Hell. The way of Heaven is a narrow place, but Hell keeps its gates wide open, welcoming in so many souls that don’t want to listen to God.

I hope that you can learn from this article I’m writing to you. Know that these places are all too real in spirit. Think and reflect about your life right now, and think about your eternal soul. What path are you on? Where are you headed? If you can’t clearly visualize it, ask God in prayer to clear your conscience and forgive you of your sins. Have a real connection to Jesus, for He is the door to the Kingdom of Heaven. Seek, knock, and ask God for His guidance.

John 10:9 (NKJV)

“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”

People with true faith, believe in God and the Devil. They know that these places do exist of Heaven and Hell. They don’t have to see to believe in them. They know in faith and trust God to keep their souls from eternal downfall. In contradiction, people without faith, neither see nor believe in God, or the Devil. They think that Heaven and Hell are stories made up written just like folklore in the Bible to scare off people into doing good deeds instead of bad ones. This is most likely why they don’t care to change their behavior. They don’t see a point to it. O, but Heaven is beautifully real, and Hell is bursting in flames hot!

John 8:32 (ESV)

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Your spirit will travel to one of these two places. God has made it clear in His Word. I am just here to help you see this truth before it’s too late. The fate of our immortal souls hang in the balance. We are not blinded to it, unless we want to be. Unless it is fittingly convenient to overlook our own evil ways due to pride and selfish gain. But remember that everything that goes up, must come down. All humans that hold onto pride and conceit will one day be faced with troubles too hard to handle alone, then, they will have to humble themselves before God for His help. Some people do this sooner rather than later, although, there are still too many souls that still are unrepentant of how they live and don’t turn to God, even under tremendous turmoil. Everyone will come to know the difference between living a good life or a bad one, and the rest is up to us to choose to stay in the wrong path or to switch sides to be right with God.

We have all tasted the difference between these two lives: good and evil. Of course we have. We all know right from wrong. Our parents and guardians, even our teachers, teach us good manners, rules, and guide us to make good decisions throughout our early years of life, in the hopes that we can have a handle of how to confront and conduct ourselves to form good decisions instead of the bad ones. But, no matter the terminology, there is a constant: Good vs. Evil, God vs. the Devil, Life and death, Light and Darkness, Hot and Cold, The Right side up cross vs. the upside down cross, Jesus Christ vs. The Anti-Christ, The Holy Trinity and the unholy trinity. All of them are antonyms of each other. They are separated, just as Heaven and Hell are separated. They cannot coexist.

North and South poles will always be. These always remain. The good little angelic voice in your head and the fierce voice of demons telling you to do bad things. Two things that always go against each other. You choose every single day which road to follow. And it’s not until we are done fighting this Earthly battle within ourselves, that we will pass away. And whatever road you chose to stay on, your soul will go to that place. You have to choose one now, so that later your soul will be set for eternity. Which one will that be for you?

Eternal torment, screaming in the fire, with no angelic Holy Spirit guidance anymore; or eternal glory that is pure, loving, warm, and full of life in the Light of God. We cannot have both. That is why, there’s always a tug of war going on in your head. God is speaking to you, listen your hardest to stay in communion with His Holy Spirit that wants to help you, and forget about the devilish voices that nag at you for your attention. They are after your soul. Since they can’t get into Heaven, they don’t want you to go to Heaven either. But their fate is set, and yours is up to you. You have to come to a decision. Side with the demons and the Devil or rebuke them in the Name of Jesus. You can’t say that you’re a Christian and a believer, that loves God and Jesus, while you are still rolling around in mud again and again. You must be washed clean from sin and turn from it.

2 Timothy 4:2 (ESV)

Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.”

Rest assured that God has you wrapped up under His wings, like a baby is wrapped up in warm blankets. No matter what happens in the world, we can rely on God to keep us safe. Therefore, don’t be afraid to pray to God right now. He’s always there with you listening to you speak. Speak good words and pray the Lord’s prayer. There is no better time to start because our bodies age and die. It is only realizing our true nature. When we die, we pass on as immortal souls. We don’t just die and vanish into thin air. We have souls that live on outside of our physical form, that is our eternal state of being.

Now, when we reach this state of being, here then is when we get judged by God, according to what deeds we have done on Earth. It matters how you live here because God will determine where He will place you. There are, as always, only two multiple choices. Fifty/fifty. Heaven or Hell. Do not play Russian roulette with your soul. You only have this one life to live out and once you die, there are no do-overs. That’s it! God will be in control of your eternal destiny. So seek God and ask His forgiveness, repent, and be saved by believing in Jesus. Our only source of Holiness is from Him.

The world tells us ‘Y.O.L.O!’, but this is not a good motto to follow. ‘You Only Live Once so live however you want to live!!’ is a lie from the Devil who wants to collect your soul, so you can live in Hades forever and ever and ever in eternal torment, while He laughs at you for believing this nonsensical terminology to fool you into sinning and keep you in sin until the day you die. Don’t let the world tell you that this is alright. It’s all a lie, for a much sinister reality. One that you cannot see right now, but exists in the spiritual realm.

Daniel 12:2 (ESV)

“And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”

Live out your life by honoring God and all He wants for your life. Eternity can be a beautiful place to live without pain and stressors of life, without aging and disease, without anger and bitterness, and without the emptiness that we all experience in our hearts. How majestic this must feel to have wholesome souls!

1 Corinthians 15:53 (ESV)

“For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.”

I can’t fully imagine the glory of being transformed like this; all we know is that we’re living in this temporary body that will one day have to return to Earth because it is borrowed only for a period of time and it does not belong to us. But our souls will be set free at last from the pull of gravity we experience in our earthly form. The immensity of light in Heaven, shining through our spirit, won’t even hurt our eyes, as nothing in Heaven will hurt, but we will be at peace with the Lord forever!

1 Timothy 6:16 (ESV)

“Who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.”

To be in complete warmth like this, not even our mother’s womb can compare. When we get there to Perfect Paradise, I think that then, we will understand God’s true love for us. But being physically bound to Earth, separated like this from Him, we can only understand a small portion of what our Master really would like us to experience. It is in the afterlife that everything will be revealed, just like a wonderful spiritual birthday present to unbox. I can’t wait for us to know the feeling of God’s eternal love!

In spirit and in truth,

Leticia Joy S.C.
