“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”-Revelation 3:20 (NIV)
Revelation 3:11-12 (NIV)—“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.”
“It is I, Jesus.”
“Jesus Christ, Your Savior. Remember me?”
“I did something so wonderful for you because I love you, my child.”
“I died for you on the cross so that you don’t have to go to that pit of hell-fire that is forever blazing hot!”
“I have spared you from the depths of darkness and despair.”
“Do you not see?— that I freely came to this Earth from Heaven to take your place.”
“And I willingly went through all the torture, the anguish, and the pain.”
“All by the hands of evil-doers, just for you to have a chance at redemption.”
“In order for you to be saved from Hell, so you could go with me and be with me.”
“And also be with our Father who art in Heaven.”
“It is I who bled and died for you on the cross, my child.”
“Will you open the door for me?—that I may come in and eat with you.”
“For you are not alone, I come so that the truth shall be known.”
“Do you want to tell me honestly what is going on in your life?”
“That I then, may be able to help you?”
“I promise to hear you and be there for you.”
“If only you would open the door, child.”
“Soften your heart, for I deeply care about your soul.”
“I love you and desire for you to go with me to Heaven for eternity.”
“I do not wish that you, my love, perish and be lost in your worldly ways.”
“For this life will one day end, but I am here to save you.”
“Do not be deceived by the treasures and all this world has to offer you.”
“Come now, I humbly ask of you to open the door and take my hand.”
(Inspired by Jesus)
Revelation 3:5-6 (NIV)—“The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. 6 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
Revelation 3:3 (NIV)—“Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.”
The LORD, Your God, is Knocking
It is up to you to receive Christ into your life. It is up to you to want to be saved. It is up to you to want to change into a better person and leave your old ways behind. It is up to you to come to Him with an open heart. It is up to you to ask God to help you open your eyes to what is true. It is all up to you because in the end no one can force you to be saved. It is a decision for each to make.
God became man when He sent Jesus, His Son, to the Earth. He is called the Messiah; The Chosen One; Our Savior. His purpose here was to fulfill God’s will–To save all the human race by sacrificing Himself on the cross. He shed His blood to pay for all of our sins so that we can be saved and go to Heaven with Him.
He wants you to know that today, He is knocking on the door of your heart. You can decide to turn in your heart to Him and receive forgiveness and the greatest gift of all–Salvation that only comes from Jesus. Hallelujah!
Revelation 3:21-22 (NIV)—“To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
We see these verses from Revelation, it tells us that if we believe in Jesus and trust in Him enough to let Him into our lives and hearts, He will help us become victors in fighting our sinful desires. It goes on to say that Jesus will let us, who are victorious, be in Heaven with Him and sit with Him as He is in Heaven sitting beside God. How beautiful that Jesus wants us to know that we are blessed to hear this good news!
Dear Lord, I hear You knock. Knocking at my door, knocking on my heart, and You keep knocking every day without getting tired of waiting for me to answer the door. I’m sorry that I keep You waiting. I’m sorry that I treat You without the proper respect that You deserve. Please forgive me and help me have an open heart for You. I repent of my ways and I invite You into my home. I invite You into my heart. Come into every area of my life because I need You God. Jesus, help me open my eyes and ears so that I may know when you are speaking to me and I will do my part by reading the Bible and obeying You. Help me trust in You. Let me learn more about You every day. I ask all of this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
With abundant love,
