Does God Exist?

Have you ever wondered if God exists? Who has ever seen Him? Where is the proof? How do we know for sure there is a God? Let me ask you, do you believe in God? Who is He? How do you picture Him in your mind? Do you think He is a genie that grants your heart’s desires and all that you want and wish to have? Well, let me explain who God is, according to the Holy Bible, which is the truth written by men, who God spoke to and through them, in order to complete the Bible.

Firstly, God is omnipresent, meaning He is everywhere at the same time. He is here with me and He is there with you. He is in Heaven and He is infinitely vast. He is immeasurable! Our brain cannot begin to imagine how great He is. He is as expansive as our solar system and solar systems beyond that we, as humans haven’t even begun to explore because they are so out of reach. That is how God feels to some of us, out of our reach. We can extend our arms up to Heaven and cry out to God and feel nothing in return from God. But friends, do not be dismayed, for He has made the Sun, the Moon, planet Earth and all life on it. He is breath-taking!

Isaiah 45:6-7 (New American Standard Bible: NASB) says, ‘So that people may know from the rising to the setting of the sun that there is no one besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no one else, The One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating disaster; I am the Lord who does all these things.’

In the Book of Joshua 1:9 (New King James Version: NKJV) God speaks, ‘Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

In our human mind, we cannot comprehend who God is entirely. This is why we cannot see Him. God is and was and always will be. He is the Beginning and the End; the First and the Last; Alpha and Omega. He is beyond our imagination and we can never fully understand who He is because He is so complex, so great, and extraordinary in all of His ways. We will never measure up to Him at all. He alone is Holy and makes all things beautiful, even when we cannot see His beauty. He is marvelous and magnificent all the time.

Psalm 40:4 (New English Translation: NET) says, ‘How blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord’

The Holy Scriptures are His word, the Holy Bible, and in it, was written in the Old Testament about God creating everything. In the Book of Genesis, we read that God created light and separated darkness from light.

Found in Genesis 1:3-4 (Tree of Life Version: TLV) it reads as follows, ‘Then God said, “Let there be light!” and there was light. God saw that the light was good. So God distinguished the light from the darkness.’

He created the waters and the sky and separated them. He created grass and all the seeds that bring forth food. He created all life: male and female animals on land and on sea to fill the Earth. He created us as humans, in His image-male and female to procreate and fill the world. Then, He named them Adam and Eve. God has created His beautiful world with the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the midst of the garden of Eden. Then, Eve was approached one day by the Serpent in the garden of Eden and it said to her to try eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. He deceived her by telling her she will become like God, and so she believed it. That is when she ate from that tree of knowledge of good and evil and gave some to Adam, as we see here.

This paragraph says in Genesis 3:1-7 (Revised Standard Version: RSV) ‘Now the serpent was more subtle than any other wild creature that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree of the garden’?”  And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden;  but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’” But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not die.  For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”  So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her husband, and he ate.  Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.’

They both sinned against God because God had warned them not to eat from that tree since the beginning when He created them. God knew what the snake did and gave him a punishment to live the rest of his life on his belly. Due to their sin, Adam and Eve were driven out from Eden. Their destiny now was to live and toil out in the wilderness until a certain amount of years God gave them to live and then, they and all generations after them, would die because of the original sin Adam and Eve had committed by disobeying God. The generational lines after them had to bear a tough life with many hardships, and ultimately death. This was not pleasing to the Lord, since He never intended for His creation to die, but to live an abundant life forever. Since then, God wanted to restore what the snake had done to Adam and Eve in the garden.

Considering that God did not like what was to happen to them, death and fire to pay for their sins, He wanted to change this. For we are God’s creation; we are His children. For that reason, God did a beautiful thing for all of us. He sent His Son Jesus to die for us all. It was written in the Bible that One Messiah who was to come to this Earth to save us all from going to Hell. It became true and that is why the New Testament was written. The prophesy was fulfilled by God. God’s word is the Bible and the Word became true when it became flesh when God sent Jesus down from Heaven to be a man here on Earth among us.

1 Timothy 2:5 (King James Version: KJV) reveals it to us like this, ‘For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ.’

Looking into the Book of John 1:14 (English Standard Version: ESV) we find this, ‘And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.’

Through this, God fulfilled His promise of the One Messiah who was to come into the world and save all mankind because people could not follow the Law that God gave to Moses: The Ten Commandments. We are sinners and always sin against God every day. For this reason, God knew what He must do to save us from ourselves. He had to send Jesus to us so that He could be the lamb who would bring salvation into the world. Christ was crucified and took our punishment upon Himself and therefore, salvation is only found through Jesus. He sacrificed Himself for you and me, for us all because He wanted to spare us from the depths of Hell. He did not want us to die and go to the lake of fire with the Devil and all the demons that dwell below. No, God did not want that destiny for us, so in order for that to change God sent Jesus Christ to do His will. It was Jesus who took all of our sin away and made us white as snow so that if we accept Him, we could go to Heaven with Him and be with God.

Matthew 27:35-40 (Modern English Version: MEV) says, ‘When they crucified Him, they divided His garments by casting lots to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet, “They divided My garments among themselves and for My clothing they cast lots.” And sitting down, they kept watch over Him there. They put His accusation over His head, which read:

Then two thieves were crucified with Him, one on the right and another on the left. Those who passed by insulted Him, wagging their heads, saying, “You who would destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”

These people mocked Jesus, but He still asked God to forgive them because Jesus knew they didn’t know any better. They did not believe that God sent Him to do His will. Even when God had done this wonderful deed to send them Jesus, many did not understand this and therefore did not believe. It is like this in today’s time, as it relates back when Jesus was here on Earth. Scripture prophesied that God would send a Messiah and when that came to pass, many people still did not believe. Let me ask you are you a believer of God, an atheist, or do you believe in worship of idols instead of Jesus Christ alone?

In John 3:16 (English Standard Version: ESV) we find it is written, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus was sent from God and He is God’s Son. He and the Father are One. Then when Jesus was resurrected and went back to Heaven with His Father is when He left the Holy Spirit with us to help guide us through life. So all in all God is 3-in-1. God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit who is our Helper.

Matthew 28:19 (New International Version: NIV) Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

To this day, there are thousands of people who do not believe in God altogether. They do not understand that God created the heavens and the Earth. They do not believe what the Holy Bible tells us is real. However, let me be the one to tell you that this is for certain: there is no other truth other than the Holy Bible. There is no other hope other than God. There is no other savior other than Jesus. It does not matter what you think is real. The Bible already tells us what is real and what is the truth, whether we accept it or not is on each of us.

Hebrews 11:6 (English Standard Version: ESV) says it in these plain words, ‘And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

We do have free will. God will not force you to believe in Him. You do not have to accept His gift if you choose not to, but brothers and sisters, that will lead to certain death in the depths of Hell with Satan and all of the demons will torment you endlessly because Hell is real and it will be forever blazing hot. By then, it will be too late to repent and ask God to save you. We have but a short life here on Earth with plenty of years to decide if we want to turn from our sin and give our lives over to God and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We have today! He has given us a gift-Jesus is the Way, the truth, and the life. Whether we come to Him and accept the free gift of life and salvation is for each of us to decide on our own. Think for yourself, where do you want to spend eternity? Would you like your soul to be with God in Heaven or with Satan in Hell? The choice is yours.

When we read from Revelation 21:8 (International Standard Version: ISV) it tells us here like so, “But people who are cowardly, unfaithful, detestable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars will find themselves in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.”

No one knows when they will die, so be prepared and do not waste another day of your life. People, accept God’s gift, which is full of grace and mercy and no cost to you. Jesus paid it all when He laid His life down for you and for me. The time is nearing when Jesus will come back for those who love Him and accept Him with all of their hearts. The rapture will take place and not one of us knows the day or time.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (New American Standard Bible: NASB) But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

In conclusion, accepting Jesus Christ in your life would be the most amazing decision of your entire life because doing so you are saving your soul from Hell, which is why He died on the cross-to save you! Amen. This means we can go be with God our Father in Heaven when we are called to go home. When we leave this Earth, our souls can finally find everlasting peace in His presence. This means no more worries, no more pain, no more anger. Let it be known that Heaven and Hell are real places; they are not imaginary, so do what is best for your soul and do not suffer for eternity. There is enough we have to endure here on Earth; why would anyone want to enter the gates of Hell to endure extreme torment that never ceases? Instead, turn to the light and if you haven’t already accepted Jesus into your heart, confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins and to cleanse you from this world. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

God bless you!
