The Rainbow in the Sky

What is a rainbow doing in the sky and why does it appear during or after it rains?

You might be wondering why we often find ourselves looking up at a rainbow or two after a storm hits and the rain has passed by. When the sun comes out from behind the dark clouds and the day looks enriched with life. The plants and grass are all watered, springing up so green with happiness and the animals dance in their own way in the fields. We know instinctively that water is good pouring down on us from Heaven because we need it to survive. In the midst of this beauty, there’s even more to be amazed about, that our eyes are able to look at. You see, God hangs His rainbow as a sign, a covenant with the world. We find the meaning behind the bow in the Holy Bible. In the Book of Genesis, written by Moses, God spoke to him and so he wrote.

In Genesis 9:11 (New International Version: NIV) God said, “I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

However, modern day society sometimes fear the thought of rain. Now, I hope you do like the rain, but if you don’t, try to look at the positives of why rain is in fact very good for the planet and why it is important to like it. I’d say try to be open-minded about the rain in it of itself. If it is already in mind as a connection in the psyche that rain equals a bad thing, then you’ve already shut your mind out from God’s goodness that He gives. Like this, you will never be open to the thought of a beautiful rainbow as an addition of the rain that is purely good. You will just see a gloomy pessimistic day ahead, with a sad frown, which is the worst way to go about any day God gives you.

James 1:17 (English Standard Version) says, ‘Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father…’

I tell you, every day is a great gift from the Lord that we should treasure. Waking up with a great attitude like this will give you a boost, with a smile on your face all day long and you will be able to see more of His goodness throughout the rest of your day. Why not try this next time it rains, instead of getting mad at the day for it. Wearing a smile instead of a frown might make your spirit feel more alive to accept the rain, therefore, seeing beyond the rain to the actual rainbow set in the sky above.

I’ve heard many people say that seeing the rain just makes them have a miserable day. You probably have met a person like this, that even the slightest rain can deter them from having an awesome day. Some even go beyond that to say it with strong words that they hate the rain. That is not good. The rain comes from God and so does the rainbow that appears when it does; if you hate the rain, then you are saying that you don’t like God’s creation. How then, are you supposed to be open about anything God teaches in the Bible? Getting a little rain on you when you go outside is not the end of the world, just have an umbrella on you if needed. It is a blessing, not a curse that it rains. God is good. He creates all things good and it should be seen as is.

Genesis 9:12-13 (New International Version) And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come. I have set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.”

Clearly, here you can read it for yourselves, that God said He set the bow in the clouds as a sign to never destroy all life by flooding the entire Earth again. Society has made it into an advertising scheme. Evil has twisted God’s glorious rainbow to fit their own agenda and propaganda. It is not about a leprechaun or any gold treasure at the end of the rainbow; it is not about the candy Skittles and all the colors and flavors that rain from the rainbow; and it is especially not about having gay pride. These are all false representations of the rainbow God alone created from the very beginning before we were on Earth.

Ephesians 5:5 (Good News Translation: GNT) says, ‘You may be sure that no one who is immoral, indecent, or greedy (for greed is a form of idolatry) will ever receive a share in the Kingdom of Christ and of God.’

The truth is found in the Holy Bible, written clear as day. All other rainbow ideas are manufactured by man in their own imagination for their own gain of marketing plots and ploys to sell you something that is not good for you. Candy is not good for you as it will rot your teeth. Wasting money on slot machines because of greed is also not good for you. They are all about taking your hard-earned money while you chase the win. And surely, being gay, lesbian, transgender, or bisexual is not what God intended. This is going against God.

Romans 1:28-29 (New King James Version: NKJV) says, ‘And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness…’

God created Adam and Eve to procreate and fill the earth since the beginning of His creation. Yes, it is true that He does not like your sin, but He does love you so much because He made you so please humble yourself now and learn to let go of all pride hidden inside of you. Let Jesus be your Savior and fall on your knees repenting, asking God to forgive you of your sin.

The rainbow is NOT about gay pride. We learned that earlier. What is happening out there is absurd and it is perversion that God does not like nor does He approve of it! The Holy Bible says the truth, that the rainbow signifies a holy covenant between God and with all of us who live on Earth. All the while, Satan is a liar trying to fool you, feeding you lies! He is crafty and likes to deceive the masses of people every chance he gets. Please understand people, we are living in the days where the Devil uses this land as his playground. All kinds of evil have happened that are caused by man. However, fear not but instead know the truth and turn to Jesus Christ. He alone can help you live upright and a sound life like we should and we will learn discernment from the Lord so that we can know right from wrong. All we have to do is ask God in prayer and He will answer us in His time.

In Matthew 7:8 (New Living Translation: NLT) it reads, ‘For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

He is just to forgive you and wash you white as snow. He can help you cleanse yourself and give you strength to break the chains that Satan has over your life. In the name of Jesus!

A PRAYER FOR YOU:

I pray for anyone who is stuck in the lgbt bondage of sin, that you no longer be tied to this lifestyle; that you may open your eyes and ears to see and hear the truth about what the rainbow really represents. I pray that you see what the Devil is trying to do to you, to take you to Hell by making you believe that immorality is fun and there is pride in it. No, no, no it is not good and does not come from God. I also pray that you ask God for faith, wisdom, discernment, and knowledge in search for the truth. He will help you through it all if you willingly open the word of God to learn righteousness. For God has a good, good plan for your life if only you will allow yourself to receive His blessings. Please open your heart to God right now. I declare you to be set free from bondage in Jesus’ holy name! Amen.

God bless you!

Sincerely yours,

L. Joy Santa Cruz
